Materials
for this site came from ANNE SAVAGE COLLECTION OF STUDENT ART WORKS With the support of Canada's Digital Collections and the Faculty of Fine Arts, a new Web site which documents and analyses the entire collection of Anne Savage's students' art works was created in 20022003 and posted at http://annesavage.ca/. The originals have been deposited with the Concordia University Archives. When Anne Savage
died in 1971 she left her pedagogical notes and papers to the Art
Education Section of the Department of Fine Arts of the Sir George
Williams University. With the merging of Sir George Williams University
and Loyola College, the Art Education Department of the Faculty of
Fine Arts at Concordia University became the repository of the archives.
A 92 page guide was compiled in 1989 under the direction of then curator,
Prof. Leah Sherman. In addition to Anne Savage's papers, the archives
also contain some photographs, transcripts and audio tapes of her
own words. In 2001, the holdings of the Anne Savage Archives were
moved to the Concordia University Archives. THE FACULTY OF FINE ARTS SLIDE LIBRARY There are slides of Anne Savage oils, sketches and paintings in the slide library - about 75% from private collections. Some of these slides have been scanned and saved onto CD ROM. To view a list and some examples of slides in the Slide Library, click here. LEONARD AND BINA ELLEN ART GALLERY Original work
